										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Salvador Dalí, the wacky surrealist known for his signature pointy mustache and painting melting clocks, was also graphic designer behind the classic Chupa Chups–an enduringly sweet, bright rendition of a daisy.</p>
<p>The Catalan lollipop made its first appearance in 1958, when the company founder Enric Bernat hatched the idea of placing a bonbon on a stick. He called the product “GOL,” imagining the candy as a soccer ball and the open mouth a net. It didn’t go over well. So Bernat hired an ad agency that renamed his product “Chupa Chups” (from the Spanish <em>chupar</em>, meaning “to suck”). All that was left was the branding. In 1969, Bernat complained about what he had while having coffee with his artist friend–none other than Salvador Dalí.</p>

<p>According to lore,  the painter went to work immediately, doodling for an hour on newspapers that were laying around. Dalí’s version masterfully integrated the wordmark into the daisy design, and has hardly changed since. And Phaidon points us to one subtle, extremely smart feature of the design:</p>
<p>Acutely aware of presentation, Dalí insisted that his design be placed on top of the lolly, rather than the side, so that it could always be viewed intact. It’s proved to be one of the most enduring pieces of branding ever and one that’s still used today, four billion sales later.</p>
<p>What would induce the famous artist to take on such a project? Dinero. The guy rarely turned it down, causing surrealist poet André Breton to nickname him “Avida Dollars”–an anagram of Dalí’s name that roughly translates to “eager for cash.”</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><b>As part of</b> Stenograffia an annual Russian street art festival, a group of Russian street artists found a creative way of addressing ‘garbage’ in their country.</p>
<p><b>Moskvitch cars</b>—colloquially called Muscovite cars, since they were produced in Moscow—are a now-defunct range of cars that were extremely popular in Russia during the 1960s.</p>
<p><b>Now, they</b> “clog space, blocking the aisles and taking the already small parking place,” according to Stenograffia “becoming not the best decoration for any urban landscape.”</p>
<p><b>In a playful response</b> to this situation, the artists brought Photoshop to the real world and ‘deleted’ an old, graffiti-covered Muscovite car, leaving behind a grey and white checkered void that any Photoshop user would know represents an empty space.</p>
<p><b>This was achieved</b> by projecting a grid pattern onto the car and painting over it, allowing the illusion to be realised. They named their project ‘Ctrl-X’.</p>
<p><b>The work may also</b> be an indirect comment at how street art is perceived. By erasing the old, graffiti-covered car—which the artists plan to recycle when the event is over—the artists also make the audience think about the definition of street art: trash or treasure?</p>

<p>For the launch of their new model, Volvo VNL, Volvo Trucks recruited the assistance of young fan Joel Jovine to assist</p>
<p>with the unboxing, who also happens to have a passion for Volvo Cars.</p>

<p>For the title, the silver VNL model was packed away inside of a 80’ x 14’ x 18’ box, which was opened with</p>
<p>the help of the excited 3-year-old in a residential neighbourhood.</p>
<p>In order to obtain the record, Volvo Trucks had to adhere to Guinness World Records guidelines which stated</p>
<p>that the box had to completely encapsulate the Volvo VNL and then needed to be opened manually, using no</p>
<p>tools, and that the truck had to be removed from the box without destroying the box during the process.</p>

<p>Adjudicator Michael Emperic was on site to verify the record, and make sure that the super-sized packaging</p>
<p>was also made entirely of standard box materials – cardboard and cellophane.</p>

<p>Kurumsal renginizn sürdürülebilirliği ise matbaa baskılarınızda Pantone renk kullanımından geçer. Bir çok kurumsal firma pantone renkleri baskı maliyetinden dolayı tercih etmemektedir. Eşdeğer renk olarak cmyk değerleri ile baskı yaptırmayı tercih etmektedirler.</p>
<p>Pantone renk kataloğu, 2058 tire renk içeren ve her rengin ofset baskı sisteminde nasıl elde edileceğini karışım formülleriyle veren bir renk kataloğudur. Bu renkleri hem parlak (Coated) hem de mat (Uncoated) olarak ayrı ayrı göstermektedir. Pantone renk ifade edilirken renginin mat veya parlak bölümden seçildiğini belirtmek için renk numarasının sonuna U ve C harfleri eklenmektedir. Her bir karşılığı Pantone numarası mevcuttur ve her rengin altında formülü yazılıdır. Formül, yüzde ve ölçü olarak iki şekilde verilmiştir; Yüzde değeri karışıma giren ana renklerin %100’e tamamlanmasıyla, ölçü değeri ise birim ölçü değerlerinin adet bölündüğünde yüzde değerini vermektedir.</p>
<p>Pantone renkler baskıda CMYK mantığı ile oluşturulmaz. Bu renklere ilave olarak ya da yalnız basılabilir. Pantone renkler özellikle rengin değişmesinin istenmediği kurumsal kimlik çalışmalarında tercih edilir. Renklerin ortak evrensel lisanı olarak tanımlanabilir.</p>

<p>Peki, neden? Çünkü basılı bir ürün ve ekran için renkler, birbirinden çok farklı modellerle oluşturulur: Monitörlerde kullanılan model RGB, ofest baskılı ürünlerdeki ise CMYK veya Pantone&#8217;dir. Bir rengin doğruluğunu belirlemek için “doğru referans” belirlemek gerekir. Basılı dokümanlar için renk referansı, pantone kataloğu ve bu katalogda renklerin karşılarında yer alan “renk numaraları”dır.</p>
